Ekaterina Vedeneva from St. Petersburg had her oil paintings and drawings exhibition at Galleria Merilä. There was 19 rather small paintings and one drawing.The motives are ladskapes, buildings, flowers and models.

More information about the artist with her own words:

I was born in 1978.

In 2000 I finished the specialized art school of N. K. Rerikh in St. Petersburg (now it is called art academy of N. K. Roerich) faculty of restoration of painting.

In 2004 I finished institute of decorative art in St. Petersburg faculty of design of graphic.

Since that time when I studied in art school I began to paint a lot. I painted especially on summer holidays when I went to the countryside.

When I studied in institute I took part in students exhibition in St. Petersburg and had exhibition of my own in medical centre during its jubilee.

After leaving the institute I worked in publishing house "Azbuka" in St. Petersburg.

In summer 2003 I lived one month on Valaam island where i worked as restorer. Since that time I liked very much the nature of Kareliya and I painted it many times afterwords.

In autumn of 2008 I had exhibition of my own in Vantaa in show room of social organization.

Now I work as teacher of fine arts in centre of aesthetics education in St. Petersburg.

I took part as teacher with works of my puples in exhibitions in St. Petersburg: in show room " Smolny", in show room of Union of artists of St. Petersburg.
